The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

 This game is the first video game that I saw and played. This game is the game that started it all for me. When first I played this game I was roaming around the world of hyrule. I thought how do I play it, what do I do, how did my Dad do it, and why does the scary music play at the big monsters (I was 5) I ran from everything that harmed me. Then after that when I started playing it correctly I went through the game without the internet (except the water temple that was hard) and after I beat it It was the 2 game I beat the other was super Mario Galaxy.

   So now Let me tell you about the game.  You start out in a village full of Kokiri or people that look like kids but are in fact ageless but you the swiss army knife link with a huge bag of holding are not a Kokiri but a Hylian that was found in the woods being hold by his dead mother so the Kokiries helped him and his adventure begins when a z-targeting Fairy Navi came to link saying to go to the Great deku tree but an annoying Kokiri  Mido is blocking the way because it is to dangerous because you don't have a sword and shield but when link gets them he moves out of the way but it turns out that he is right    When you get attacked by deku buds or weeds that are dangerous only when you move to them or give in to their power and have them eat you because you are too weak to defeat them (in that case you are a wimp at every thing in life) so the tree said thing that you want to know and you go inside to destroy the thing in the poor tree but it died after that :(.

   So as I said Link can carry a lot of stuff and is a human swiss army knife and he defeats all of his foes by exploiting there weakness and he do not need that annoying fairy to help him Find the foes weakness  do you have a huge fire dragon in your volcanic mountain?  No problem Link can defeat it.  Have a giant pig monster taking over all of your kingdom?  Call link at www.link_help_me.com. so this game has a lot of  puzzles that you solve to go farther in the game.  Almost all of them are fun (except the whole water temple (not including dark link)). So I told you about the game now let me tell you the numbers.

The game play is good and it is the first 3D Zelda game.

story: 7/10
The story is different that the other Zelda games
and like the first Zelda games Link never said anything.

The music got remixed a lot.

The game has good controls.

They where just there to be there unlike Zelda in the LoZ SS.

mini guide: Super Smash Bros Brawl: how to be good at SSBB

   This is a mini guide about how to be good at ssbb so lets start. Before you can do anything you need to know the controls for the controller you are using and change it if you need to. Then play the game beat level 3 computers until you know the character you want to play now you can start learning these things.

   First dodge, dodge, and dodge it may not seem like the most important thing.  But it is people.  In this game follow this rule: dodge the attack and you counter attack. There is a couple of times that me and my buddy played this game and we stood still for 5 seconds until one of us tried to get the jump on the other and don't forget to use the shield if you need it.

    Second know how to recover from a fall and edge guard I should have put this first but I didn't so if you do get hit a lot (and you will sometimes) you will fall of the map and then you lose a life. If you fall and you don't know how to recover from it you will die so in order to recover on a normal character you  need to jump 2 times and use the up special.  Some characters can use the side special like Ike (I wanted to say that) so if you see a move that can be used for recovery use it. It will confuse the opponent.

   Now edge guarding is a lot harder.  You need to make it so that your opponent can't recover.  So here is how you do it. One way is to go on the ledge and stay there.  If the opponent doesn't make it to the ledge he dies.  If he can make it over it then you are open.  Another way is that you can use pit's shield and when the enemy uses their up or side special they will be deflected.  Then it will be to late. The other harder thing is to go to the enemy that is in the air and hit them so that they fall to their deaths.  There are 2 ways to do that. One is to just hit them the other is a meteor smash. Meteor smash is when you hit them in the way so they fall straight down.





 

The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker

This game is a LoZ game and has the biggest world in a Loz game.  But most of it is water :( And the game can be a little easy but it is still fun. And that is all it matters. (warning: the sailing may be boring so sing a song about being a sailor on a open sea or something.  The song that plays can really help and because of it I liked the sailing in this game). The game has 49 islands (I think) and some are lame and others have cool things in it like 1/4 of a full heart for your life thingy and one has a thing that makes your magic bar 2 times bigger (very helpful for the last boss). So here is the story you are a Little 10 year old boy link named after the legendary hero that saved a magical kingdom named hyrule.  But when the beast that was sealed was released the hero never came. So after saving a pirate girl named Tetra Link's sister was kidnapped by a giant bird and Link left with Tetra to save her.

   Now more about the game play. You are a ten year old kid okay you have a shield but I never used it so I don't know how effective it is.  There is a move called parry (more like dodge and counter attack)
When you press the A button at the time the thing attacks you dodge their attack and counter attack their back.   In fact that move is required to beat the game and is better than blocking.   Link can do that because he is small and agile and his enemies are 2 times bigger than him or larger.  Don't forget Zelda has a good personality in this game (If you don't know Zelda gets kidnapped and acts like a spoiled kid (in most of the games she is)). So lets get to the numbers.

 One person can be tingle and the other can be
link tingle cant affect the world normally but he must
use the money in this game to do things like make link levitate
for 3 seconds and throw bombs from the sky.

The cel-shading that the game uses make the game look
different people who make video games
now want to make the game look as realistic as they
can And I think this is one of the best looking games of
all the gamecube games (this is my opinion so you might think differently).

story:8/10
The story is really cool, that is all I can say.

replay:5/10
If you restart you get a cool camera you (not link) can understand hyrulian and you don't get the hero's cloths.

This game may have been turned down by a lot of LoZ fans but if they had played the game they would have loved it so if you are a person that don't like unrealistic graphics here this with computers today you can perfect any art or Graphics in a video game or any thing.

(now it is time to find a game that I don't like)

team fortress 2

   Team Fortress 2 is a game that you shoot at the other team.  But this is not a cod ripoff.   In fact as the game said it is a game involving team work. The engineer makes a mini base so that the team that his is on can restock.  He also makes powerful defenses that can destroy almost everyone that tries to destroy it or go past it.  The spy can cloak and destroy all engi buildings and can back stab, instantly killing someone. The heavy has a mini gun that can compare to any mounted gun, other than the engineers sentry gun at the third level.  He is really slow and has a lot of health.  The scout has a scatter gun an can run really fast.  But has the lowest health.  The medic can heal with his medigun and can also over heal giving the person 100 extra hp.  He can give himself another person invincibility for a short amount of time with the heavy.  They can be really powerful and the only way to stop them is to kill the medic.  The best one for the job is a sniper. Although the sniper is considered the worst class, he can help change the battle.  He can use the sydney sleeper so that the enemy he hits with it will have mini crits done to him every shot for 8 seconds.  Everyone in the game can bring down a heavy really fast with it's affect on him.  This game has 9 classes so you never get bored of it.

   This game has funny weapons like the Holy Mackerel and the lollichop (I have the lollichop) and the best thing about this game is that it is free yes 100% free you only need internet and a Okay computer to play it.  Although you can buy weapons for real money it is a small amount like $1 per weapon.  But it is a better deal to buy Mann co. supply crate key as the things you get are strange or if you are lucky an unusual hat that is worth a lot.   Some people will pay you a lot of in game money or real money to have you trade your hat to them.

   So with a lot of maps and classes and different ways to play them this game will not get boring for a long time. So here are the numbers

The game is a online first person shooter and has trading so it never ends.

multiplayer: 10/10

This game is all Multiplayer.

I have played cod before and I think it is okay but this game you need teamwork and if you don't have a good team you will lose unlike cod an it has no kill/death thingy.

Tale of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

This is the Sequel to Tale of Symphonia and I can't do a review about it without telling things about the other game so

spoiler Alert about almost
everything in the first game

   So here is how it started. In Palmacosta the town was in fire and a war between Lloyd under the command of the church of Martel (very strange) and the Vanguard of Sylvarant. They killed many people and during the fight the Vanguard where chasing a girl with a red crystal ball and a boy in lab clothes saves her.  Then, he found his parents almost dead and was told by them to go to his aunt and uncle in a diffident town not to far called Luin. As you may guess Lloyd killed his parents (or did he not) and the town calls Lloyd, Lloyd the great or Lord Lloyd because he helped restored the town and donated the most to restore it and he is the one of the people that saved the worlds from destruction. Well the boy as we found out is Emil Castagnier and he is a wimpy boy. So that is how it started so let me tell you about the game play so it has the Flex Range Element Enchanted Linear Motion Battle System (or FREE LMBS and the game is not free) so it is different than Tos (Tale of Symphonia) one Emil has cool aerial combat because of it at the max you can hit up to 10-13 times in the air if you (if you have the skills) in the at the start he can only hit 3 times per combo. Elements also affect the battle if the battle field has a dark element Emil is stronger and heals slowly and dark magic is also stronger. You can capture monsters and use them in battle.  Some have 3 times more hp than you.  So monsters are good for holding back the things you are fighting.  Then your spell casters can cast spells.  They have very powerful affects an can do a lot of damage.  Judgment, although not a spell but a angelic skill, can send bolts of light and can hit every target.  (I said can it can miss every target also). The most important people are the healers.  Although monsters can heal you and most are as good at it.  So here are the 2 main healers Raine and Marta. Marta will be on your team almost all of the time.  Her healing spells heal one person or thing at a time.  She can deal damage using light spells and is good melee attacks. Raine is only on the team some times.  She can heal all of the party and do it really well.  In the beginning of the game you can have someone cast a water spell and when you do a attack called the Unison attack with Raine you heal all of the party to full health.  With her you can tank the fights that you have when she is in the party (that is why Emil can't use water attacks until the very end of the game.

So lets get to the numbers.


Story: 8/10
The story is good and Kratos is the game's narrator and don't forget the game has 3 different endings. One is sad another is really sad and another one is perfect (and I mean really perfect(and in Japan the really bad ending is super bad )).

game play: 8/10
The game play is different that Tos but the old tactics with Lloyd will be the same (well almost).

characters: 8/10
All of the old characters are in the game (with different voice actors :( ) except Kratos (If you played Tos you know what happened to him) and the new ones are great like the Sadistic girl Alice and her partner (aka voluntarily slave) Decus and of course the main characters Emil and Marta (wait this game story no it can't be...).

Music: 7/10
It is the remixed version of the Tos sound track.

controls: 7/10
The controls are good.

reply ability: 6/10
You can continue a game + and play on the hardest mode.

total: 7/10
It is a good game but not as good as Tos.

The Legend of Zelda

This game is the first of the Legend of Zelda games and one of the hardest.  Unlike most games for the NES this one can save its data so you don't need to speed run to beat the game. I was not born when the game came out.  The only first thought about this game is that my Mom got the white sword and the blue ring before defeating the first boss and got the magic sword at the 3 dungeon. And that I died so many times that I can't count anymore so here is the story.

 So the left handed hero " link " went to save Zelda from " Gannon " with his wooden sword at his hand. 

The gameplay is great and I thing that the legend of Zelda is the best game for the NES.  So lets get to the  numbers. 

controls 9/10

They work perfectly with the game.

gameplay: 8/10

This is the first open world video game (I think) so you can travel the world and find a lot of things .

story: 6/10

I can understand why this did not have a lot of story to it so .

replay ability:8/10

You can do it diffidently almost every time .

graphics: 8/10

The Graphics are good I like 8 bit graphics.

This is a good game but I have never played

it when it came out so I never got to play the older 

games and compare it to them so here is a person that 

has played the game before my time.

Monster Hunter 3

  Monster Hunter is in a world that monsters / dragon thingys live with humans in the world and almost all of the monsters ate humans for a small snack. But the humans adapted the hunted started to hunt the hunters (scary for a monster). So in this game you can't level up and the big monsters have 4000 hp and you have about 150 hp or less and the really hard (or wimpy) monsters have 13000 hp. So if you get hit by a big monster attack without armor you are dead and if the same monster hits you with the same attack when you have armor most likely the monster will get a cool combo on you and then you are dead. So the game is about not getting hit. Now in the game there you can get armor and weapons here are some of them.

So with that the story to monster hunter 3 is this there is a big monster in the island kill it. Now there is a bigger monster in the island now we will kill it. Yay we killed it now we will have a festival. There is more to the story but that is not important now let us get to the numbers 

game play: 10/10

The game play is good and the first of its kind other than the other Monster Hunter games.

This is a wii game and the controls are bad with the nunchuk but with the classic controller it works perfectly.

story: 1/10

Almost no story.

The only person with a back story is the village chief and that was not the best back story. 

singleplayer 8/10

Hunting monsters is good but the thing that helps you is the best. 

multiplayer: 10/10

The singleplayer was really good but you can fight harder monsters in online.

A really good online multiplayer (the best for the Wii) game get it if you have a Wii.

Tale of Symphonia

   Tale of symphonia is a RPG that used a thing called Multi-Line Linear Motion Battle System that is a improved version of the Linear Motion Battle System that was used in Tales of Phantasia.The controls are great and the game looks good. you start out as a person named Lloyd in a one room school sleeping in the corner standing up while carrying two heavy buckets of water and school was started so after the the teacher named Raine Sage left the class to check the beam of light that came from the temple Lloyd got the Idea to go and check it out to so he convinced his friends Genis Sage the 12 year old mage and Colette Brunel the chosen one to go to the temple (Colette had to go to the temple after all she is the chosen one) after that they went on a Quest to save the regenerate the world of Sylvarant. I don't want to tell all of the story but there is a cool plot twist after all that is only 1/3 of the game.

The combat in this game is fast and can get hard at times. You start out with a art called demon fang wich is a long range attack but you Quickly learn moves like sonic thrust and sword rain. You will soon able to use moves that are impossible to do in real life like tempest thrust when you fly into the air and at the same time make youself in to a saw that is spining and after landing on your feet thrust your sword at the foe. You keep getting new attacks until you do awome combos. I forgot spell casters can cast cool and powerful spells and there are healers keep them alive.

   The characters in this game are amasing

It starts out as a normal RPG but then the plot twist changed the story so much and in the end almost every questions where answered.

All of the main characters were good and had a story behind them and the antagonists had a story behind them to.

game play: 7/10
The game play was good but the only character that is not hard to play is Lloyd because he hits hard and fast.

controls: 8/10
The controls are good that is all I can say.

music: 10/10
The game has a really good sound track that is all I can say about it.

replay ability: 5/10
like most RPG you replay it when you forgot the story or when you really want to.

This is a good game and if you have a game cube (or a wii) get it.

Minecraft video game review

   So this is my first video review and it is about a game called Minecraft. Minecraft is game that you might think “this game has bad graphics but why is it lagging my computer”.Well I don’t know how good your computer is but on mine I keep it on the lowest setting now let us go to the game play. It is a game that started with a Idea to destroy blocks and to place them so with this idea and wool you can make cool things like pixel art of Mario.But building can get boring at times and that is when you get the full game with a survival mode. in this mode you can destroy blocks like normal but you can destroy them faster with a tool and some times you destroy the block if you don't use the right tool.Now let us get to the rating.

Graphics: 7/10

  Minecraft has a pixely look to it but if you dont like it you can get a better texture pack that people make for the game but for me the graphics work well for the game and do not affect it .

Game play: 9/10

 It may be slow at the start you might die in the start but you will survive,thrive and find diamonds. What game that you can make your tools out of diamonds other than minecraft and you can go to hell (okay it is the nether).

Controls: 10/10

 The controls in the game are really good (if you don’t have a bad keyboard) and you can change it at any time.

Replay: 10/10

 It is a sandbox game you can to is over and over differently.

Multiplayer: 10/10

Like normal except more things to worry about (PVP) but if you go to the right server don’t worry.some people play Minecraft because of it multiplay

Total: 9/10

The game can get hard at times but get Minecraft it is the most original game out there in the web
